Australian wholesale floor protection supplier
Specialist wholesale supply for builders, trades, flooring contractors and resellers across Australia.
Floor Protection® supplies multi-layer, self-adhesive floor protection rolls for construction, renovation, painting, flooring and commercial fit-out projects across Australia. We work with builders, trades, flooring contractors, project teams and resellers who need practical protection for finished surfaces, not another general building product added to a catalogue.
The business was established in February 2025, but it did not begin from scratch. Floor Protection® was built on more than 20 years of experience in the building and construction industries. That background shapes the way we select products, speak with customers and think about supply. We understand that floor protection is usually installed at a critical stage of a project, when expensive finishes are already in place and several trades may still need access.
Floor Protection®’s role is straightforward: help customers choose suitable protection, keep dependable stock available and organise delivery to the site, warehouse or reseller that needs it.

The most frustrating damage on a project happens near the end. The floor is finished, but painters, joiners, electricians, cleaners and delivery teams still need to move through the property. One dropped tool, a trail of grit or a paint spill can turn a small oversight into repairs, delays and an uncomfortable handover conversation.
Traditional coverings can help, but each brings its own compromise. Loose plastic may move underfoot. Paper and cardboard can require time-consuming taping and may not suit wet conditions. Drop sheets are useful for some painting work, yet they can bunch or leave areas exposed. We saw room for a more practical option: multi-layer protection that rolls out quickly, grips the surface without separate joint tape and provides a cushioned barrier during normal site activity.
That is the gap Floor Protection® was created to fill. We focus on supplying professional temporary protection that is simple to understand, efficient to install and available in grades for different levels of site use.
We are not a broad hardware supplier with one floor covering hidden among thousands of products. Temporary floor and surface protection is the centre of the business. That narrow focus gives us time to look closely at the details that matter on site: roll weight, layer construction, grip, surface compatibility, breathability, installation time, removal and freight.
It also means we do not recommend the same product for every floor. A short residential repaint does not need the same protection as a busy commercial fit-out. A fully cured tiled floor has different requirements from recently coated timber. Before recommending a roll, we consider the surface, its age and finish, expected traffic, work duration, likely spills and whether the covering needs to allow vapour to pass.
If there is any uncertainty, particularly with a new coating, recently installed flooring or a sensitive finish, we at Floor Protection® advise checking the flooring manufacturer's instructions and testing the protection in a small, hidden area first.
Every standard Floor Protection® roll is 1 metre wide and 50 metres long, covering up to 50m² before overlaps, trimming and site waste are allowed for. The range uses non-woven cushioning with a self-adhesive backing, so installers can roll out the material with a 7cm overlap rather than taping every joint.
- Mercury 140gsm: a lighter, cost-conscious option for painting, maintenance and low-to-moderate site activity.
- STD Blue 160gsm: a practical general-purpose grade for renovation, building and everyday trade use.
- Anti-Slippery 160gsm: our breathable option for projects where vapour transmission and added surface stability are important.
- Heavy Duty 260gsm: a thicker grade for busier work areas, longer projects and more demanding site traffic.
We can also discuss custom floor protection orders for larger requirements, including alternative specifications, colours or branded products. Custom manufacturing is assessed individually because minimum quantities, lead times and technical requirements vary.

- A Direct Manufacturing Relationship
- Wholesale Supply and Reseller Support
- Australia-Wide Floor Protection Delivery
- Testing, Compliance and Better Product Information
Floor Protection® works directly with an established manufacturer in China that specialises in these materials. This relationship allows us to discuss construction, specifications, packaging and custom requirements with the manufacturing source rather than passing information through several unrelated suppliers.
Direct supply helps us keep pricing competitive for trade, wholesale and bulk customers. Just as importantly, it gives us a clearer line of communication when reviewing product consistency or planning future stock. We maintain a focused standard range instead of changing products whenever a different importer has stock available.
Floor Protection® is primarily a wholesale floor protection supplier. We support construction companies, flooring businesses, painting contractors, fit-out teams and other trade customers that need project quantities or repeat supply. We also work with resellers who want to add self-adhesive floor protection to their existing building, paint, flooring, hardware or safety range.
For direct trade customers, our team can help estimate quantities, compare grades and plan delivery. The online roll calculator is useful for an initial estimate, but projects with stairs, multiple floor types, unusual layouts or staged access may need a closer look.
We supply customers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra and regional Australia. Orders can be sent to a business address, warehouse or active project, subject to freight access and carrier requirements.
Because every roll is one metre long, delivery is different from sending a small parcel. The number of rolls, postcode, unloading access and whether the destination is commercial or residential can all affect the freight option. We provide clear delivery terms for metro orders and quote non-metro locations individually. Current charges, estimated transit times and the free-in-store threshold for qualifying orders are explained onour delivery page.
If timing is critical, tell us when requesting the quote. We would rather discuss the delivery window before the job starts than leave floor protection until the day finished surfaces are exposed.
Builders, resellers and project managers should be able to ask what a product is made from, how it was assessed and what its stated limits are. Our current range has documentation relating to REACH requirements and SGS testing against RoHS-restricted substances. These reports concern specified substances and concentration limits; they should not be described as a blanket approval for every project or every possible use.
We are also developing the Floor Protection Test Centre to make product performance easier to understand. Published work includes breathability and installation-speed testing, with the method, conditions and limitations shown alongside the results. For example, the Anti-Slippery material recorded a water-vapour transmission result of 1,176g/m² per 24 hours under the stated ASTM E96/E96M-24a Procedure B test conditions.
Numbers are useful only when their context is visible. That is why we prefer to publish the test method and conditions rather than lift a figure out of a report and turn it into a broad marketing claim. As the range develops, we intend to keep adding practical comparisons and clearer technical information.
Why Customers Choose Us
There are many reasons businesses across Australia continue choosing us as their floor protection supplier.
Quality, Compliance & Certifications
Our products are assessed against the key standards the industry expects, including:
- REACH compliance certification
- SGS RoHS compliance
These certifications give both us and our customers confidence that our products don't contain harmful chemicals or hazardous substance levels.
Our Approach
Floor Protection® is still a young business, and we see that as a reason to be specific about what we have achieved and what we are building.
Since February 2025, we have established direct manufacturing relationships, developed four clearly defined standard grades, expanded supply across Australia and begun building a reseller network.
We have also invested in product guides, installation advice and testing content so customers can make a more informed choice.
